Sol- Step-1 check common diff. in rest of terms except first two so, 

  11.6- 8.9= 2.7 = addition of 2.7

  8- 11.6  = 3.6  = subtraction of 3.6

 12.5 - 8 = 4.5 =  addition of 4.5 

similarly based on same logic of addition and subtraction alternatively and table of 0.9. Use it in above series,

? = 9.8 + 0.9 = 10.7                similarly, 10.7 - 1.8 = 8.9 

hence option 'a' is correct.

series are decreasing with moderate margin so go for common difference technique i.e., next term - previous term.

term /c.d  will be = (1)^3 +1 = 2

Sol-  Initial term is missing so go for last few terms so that some logic we can 

easily find don't loose patience while solving questions in exam hall wait for get logic.

Logic=  1= 1 * 1

            945 =  105 * 9 

so, based on it you can see series is based on multiplication series with a gap of 2. 

? = 1 * 3 = 3      we can check next term it should be = 3 * 5 = 15.

Final logic=  multiply(*) by 1 , *3 , * 5 , * 7
