Q1. Which of the following is not a Pythagorean Triplet?
a. 13,84,85
b.7,24,25
c.8,15,17
d.11,60,83
Sol- In this type of question of triplet pair you need to verify
(p)^2 +(b)^2 = (h)^2
i.e., Pythagoras theorem,
Check all options one by one,
option no. d will be correct
(11)^2 + (60)^2= (83)^2
or, 121 + 3600 = 3721 which is not equal to 6889.
Hence all options are triplet pair except d.
There are some basic triplet pairs that are frequently asked in all competitive exams in India and across the world so, I will request you to keep them in mind.
Basic triplet pairs in math = (3,4,5) i.e., 3^2 + 4^2 = 5^2
=(6,8,10)
= (9,12,15)
=(13,84,85)
= (7,24,25)
= (8,15,17)
